Why Wood Wicks?
A lot of wicks will produce soot and a black smoke when lit, this will not happen with wooden wicks. They are clean burning and are a great alternative to traditional cotton wicks. They also produce a calming crackle sound in the quiet, adding to the ambiance of the candle. Wood wicks create a more even pooling of wax and a stronger scent of the fragrance into the space.
What Makes Soy Wax Different Than Store Bought Candles?
Soy candles are in the category of "happy wax", a non-pollutant wax made from natural materials. Because they don't burn petroleum-based paraffin, their flame is cleaner, with a better impact on both your health and the environment. Plus they're sourced from soybeans, which makes them better for the environment. Similar to beeswax, soy candles also burn longer than paraffin ones. Add that to the fact they're "green" and you have yourself a nice environmentally-conscious product.
